TRAVELLING BY PLANE

The Principality of Monaco enjoys a very privileged geographical location at the heart of Europe, less than a two-hour flight from major European capitals. Comfortable and rapid travel is provided by numerous direct flights. Further information is available on the official Nice airport’s website. Nice Cote d’Azur International Airport is nearby (22 km from Monaco) and is linked to Monaco by an array of transportation options.

BUS TRANSFERS FROM/TO NICE AIRPORT

Nice Airport Express operates regular transfers via the motorway between Nice Cote d’Azur Airport and Monaco (45 minutes). The service runs all year round from 7 am to 9 pm (departures every 30 minutes from Terminal 1 and 2).

HELICOPTER TRANSFERS

An helicopter takes off every 15 or 30 minutes depending on the season for a 7 minute flight between Nice and Monaco. A free shuttle bus is provided when arriving in the Principality, to get you to any place you like.

TRAVELLING BY CAR

From Italy

  • Via the motorway (A8/E74/E80) please take the exit 58 ‘Roquebrune-Monaco-La Turbie’
  • Via the coastal road from Menton

From Nice, Cannes or Saint-Tropez

  • Via the motorway (A8/E74/E80) with two possible exits:
  • 56: ‘Monaco-Cap d’Ail-Beausoleil’
  • 57: ‘La Turbie-Roquebrune-Cap-Martin’

From Nice : three panoramic roads lead to Monaco:

  • Basse Corniche (D6098)
  • Moyenne Corniche (D6007)
  • Grande Corniche (D2564)

Kindly note that there are 38 public car parks available in the Principality of Monaco.

TRAVELLING BY TRAIN

The railway station in Monaco is located just a few minutes away from the Casino Square, the major hotels of the Principality and from the Grimaldi Forum.

A regional express train links Monaco to the major cities of the region every day (Cannes, Antibes, Nice, Menton, Ventimiglia…).

It is very easy to get around the Principality using the city bus.
