General Information

Why has the Conference been postponed?

The International Olympic Committee, along with the Organising Committee of the IOC World Conference on Prevention of Injury & Illness in Sport, have closely followed the health crisis. Institutional travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 epidemic were implemented right before the Conference. As a consequence, we would have not been able to deliver the high-quality programme expected by our delegates.

As a result of these factors, and our responsibility to protect the health of our speakers, delegates and staff, it has been agreed that postponing the Conference to February 2021 was the only responsible course of action.

Will the Conference be postponed to a later date?

Yes, the Conference will take place from 11 to 13 February 2021 in Monaco at the Grimaldi Forum.
